Measurement of the Weak Mixing Angle

Use IF statements in Excel. Create a new column labelled ehad. To determine whether an event had a muon, check the EMU variable. If EMU=0 let ehad=ehadnc, otherwise ehad=ehadcc.

Syntax for IF commands in Excel:

• IF(logical test, value_if_true, value_if_false)

• example of usage: row 2 in ehad column:

  =IF(k2=0,h2,m2)

  if, for instance, emu entries in column k, ehadnc in column h and ehadcc in column m
